After over five years of planning and construction and two months after opening, Hospital Sultan Ismail was infested with potentially deadly fungus. The areas of the extensive visible mold growth (Dominant Species: Aspergillus fumigatus) were widespread throughout the entire ten story hospital which has 704 beds and 3004 rooms.
